Freeze Drying

FutureCeuticals’ expertly-developed freeze-drying processes make it possible to capture the fresh flavor and nutritional benefits of fruits and vegetables and retain them for longer periods of time. During freeze drying, the frozen raw materials are placed in a refrigerated vacuum system then gently dehydrated before they can thaw—under these conditions the ice turns directly into water vapor without passing through the liquid phase. This process allows the retention of the food’s color, shape, taste, nutrients and cell structure—far more so than possible by alternative drying methods.
